Woodson Construction is capable of taking on virtually any residential or small commercial project. Curtis meets with the owners to discuss their needs, hopes, and dreams and develops strategies with the owners to make those dreams come true.

Working with an experienced team of electricians, plumbers, security, HVAC providers, chimney and masonry experts, and other specialists, as needed (such as asbestos abatement), Curtis oversees and coordinates all work on every project. He limits the number of projects he takes on at any given time to make certain he can give each project the priority it deserves.

Curtis also understands that resources are finite and precious in every project and, hand-in-hand with the owner, he seeks and finds cost-effective ways to meet goals and to achieve value for every dollar spent without compromising the quality of the end product. Clear, regular, and honest communication with the owner is key.

Homes from Framing to Finish

Once a site has been chosen, Woodson Construction works with the owner to secure all permits and lay out the building site. Curtis oversees every detail of each new home project from foundation to framing to finish, and he is as comfortable working with an architect as he is with cost-effective design-build.

Kitchens and Bathrooms

With a no-project-is-too-small attitude, Curtis is glad to discuss kitchen and bathroom renovations, expansions, and upgrades that add beauty, value, and quality of life to existing homes.

Roofing, Windows, Doors, and Siding

The weather Downeast is particularly hard on roofs, windows, doors, and siding. Curtis will discuss options and life expectancy with you, from clapboard and vinyl to cedar shakes and Hardy plank for siding, asphalt, metal, and cedar shakes for roofing, and options for windows and doors.

Seasonal Care

Cottages, camps, and seasonal homes require regular maintenance and repair, from pest control and abatement to the repair, painting, and/or replacement of shingles, broken or compromised windows, and deteriorating siding and trim. Deferred maintenance is not only unsightly. It is costly and puts a home at risk of theft and expensive repairs down the road. An annual contract for time and materials assures that seasonal homes will be at their best when homeowners return for a carefree stay.

Renovations and Restorations

Unlike builders who like only new construction, Curtis loves old houses and the unique set of challenges their restoration and renovation present. He can find ways to completely update all systems while preserving the singular charm, character, and warmth of an old home.

Decks, Additions, and Docks

Decks and additions can be economical, practical, and handsome ways to expand the utility of both indoor and outdoor spaces, from woodshed conversions to covered entries and walkways, decks, and patios. Curtis can also provide repair and regular maintenance of existing docks.

Outbuildings and Garages

Whether a playhouse, toolshed, or potting barn, outbuildings add character, value, and functionality to any property, while garages provide valuable storage space and get cars, tractors, boats, firewood, and building materials out of the weather. A design-build approach creates attractive, unique structures suited to the home site and style.

Landscaping

Often, basic landscaping – the removal of overgrown shrubs and trees and overhanging limbs, for example – must precede exterior work. For such work, there is rarely a need for costly specialists. When there is, Curtis will recommend reliable arborists and landscapers.
